Year 4 Take Part in Pilgrim Week at Cathedral
- 24th October 2018
Year 4 have recently attended pilgrim week at Chester Cathedral. They had such a wonderful day visiting three areas of the Cathedral to think about the history, current use and future of the building alongside its place in the Christian Faith. Pupils also considered the idea of Pilgrimage as a journey of faith as well as a physical journey, dressing up and monks and taking a vow of silence (although the ‘silence’ part didn’t last too long)!
Year 4 enjoyed taking place in some static workshops, which used buildings, Christian traditions, crafts and art from the past or present as its focus. The workshops were; Pilgrim Pouches, Mosaics and Sugar Craft. They had such a great time and loved singing hymns alongside the Cathedral organ at the end of the day.
