Our Year 3 children have been learning about tribal dances from around the world recently and exploring the reason behind their performance. They have thoroughly enjoyed the ceremonial Maori dance from New Zealand- the Haka, and have loved learning the moves and watching videos of the New Zealand rugby team perform the dance. This topic has linked nicely with their PE focus of Tag Rugby this half term and there might even have been the odd game where the Haka has started their lesson! We thought you might enjoy watching their performance.
