Year 2 Children Raise Over £800 for the World Land Trust
Year 2 have been inspired this term to raise money for the *World Land Trust after learning all about the Guatemalan rain forest during their Geography lessons. They measured the size of our school playground to begin with and then had the challenge of raising enough money needed to save the same amount of space in the rainforest. They have SMASHED their target amount and so far have raised a whopping £820.
The children have worked so hard completing all sorts of fundraising ideas, such as a sponsored car wash, sponsored penalties, a 2.5K run, 10000 steps a day for a week, an art sale and many more wonderful ideas. The children also came to school dressed as animals on the last day of half term and held a book sale after school. Well done Year 2, we so are proud of your incredible achievement.
