World Book Day
We had so much fun recently as the whole school celebrated World Book Day. As always, the children of The Firs School loved coming to school dressed as their favourite book characters. They spent the day admiring one another’s costumes and taking part in additional reading and book activities. Celebrating our love of reading was the goal and each class had fun as they explored this theme. There were special story times in each of the classes, book quizzes, games and craft, all based around a celebration of the stories we love. The day started with a fun whole school improvised story telling session in the hall led by Miss Evans which involved teachers making up a wonderful story incorporating as many of the book character costumes they could see!
