Our Year 6 pupils have all taken on important and responsible roles of student leadership for the term ahead. They have all been allocated new leadership positions including; Prefects, Anti Bullying Ambassadors, Sports leaders, Games captains, House Captains, Librarians, Eco Warriors, School Council leaders and Junior Safety Officers. As the oldest members of the school they are expected to lead by example and all relish the opportunity to help and support the younger children and staff.

Their tasks are wide and varied, our Prefects help daily on the both the infant and junior playgrounds, our Librarians are regularly found in the school library helping maintain the systems and keeping it tidy. Our Anti-bullying Ambassadors recently attended a training event sponsored by the Princess Diana Award at the Academy of St Nicholas in Liverpool. Here they learnt more about the issue of bullying and found out about the skills needed to support others to stay safe and happy. All the team were inspired and excited about their new roles in school and are already setting targets and aims for their anti-bullying work. Our two Junior Safety Officers were recently awarded with their certificates and badges at the Civic Centre in Ellesmere Port. They have received training about their important student leadership role. They are busy preparing their first assembly.

As you can see our leaders are busy, please keep an eye on the website to find out more about the many jobs they take on over this term.
