    • Student leaders Year 6
Our Year 6 children have all been appointed leadership roles for the coming academic years and are already stepping up and taking their new responsibilities very seriously.  In their final year at school children at The Firs School are given exciting new leadership roles. We pride ourselves on not just providing an exceptional academic programme but also initiatives which help our pupils grow as individuals and give them a sense of responsibility and community.  These leadership roles allow the pupils to really demonstrate their interpersonal skills and we enjoy watching the children thrive when given responsibility.
Children are appointed or voted to various roles such as; Prefects, House Captains, Games Captains, Anti Bullying Ambassadors, Junior Safety Officers, Sports Organising Committee, Student Council, Eco Warriors and Library Monitors. In addition, all the Year 5 and Year 6 pupils ‘buddy’ up with children in Reception and Year 1 to help them settle into their classes and support them in the playground.
Our Prefects met with Miss Evans, Head Teacher earlier in the week to think about what makes a Perfect Prefect and enjoyed brainstorming their ideas and coming up with their models of leadership.
