Year 6 enjoyed their annual residential to Rhoscolyn in Anglesey recently where they enjoyed three nights and 4 days of fun outdoor activities. The children took part in coasteering, kayaking, walking, raft building and rock pooling. They enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the campfire and had lots of fun during a special sandcastle competition. The year 6 Rhoscolyn trip has been a long standing tradition for our children and has become a Firs rite of passage as they look forward to moving on to the next new and exciting stage of their academic adventures. We are so glad that after two years of cancelled trips due to Covid the children were able to enjoy the experience!

Year 3, 4 and year 5 have also enjoyed residential trips to Colemendy and Castleton and Conwy. Lots of fun outdoor adventures, activities experienced, memories made and exciting new challenges completed. We are proud that here at The Firs we give all of our children from Year 3 to Year 6 the opportunity to go on a school residential. These trips provide valuable bonding and team work opportunities and help our children develop skills and resilience whilst also experiencing activities that they may never have tried before. They always return with wonderful stories and an amazing sense of achievement which they carry forward with them into their daily school life.
