Year 5 visited the World Museum, Liverpool on Monday 27th November. Mr Dann reported after the trip that “5D had a brilliant time at Liverpool World Museum today. In our first session we learnt how to be archeologists and analyse different ancient artefacts. We then explored the Ancient Egypt exhibit, and managed to spot all 10 mummies! We then explored all the other for floors (dinosaurs, bugs, animals and aquarium) before heading home.”
World Museum states “Ancient Egypt exhibition is much more than just pyramids, mummies and hieroglyphs. Join us on a 5,000 year journey to discover what life was really like. Come and explore our Mummy Room to find out how people achieved eternal life. Read spells from the Book of the Dead and smell ingredients used in mummification.”
