Visit from Professor Monica Grady

Visit from Professor Monica Grady

Science

Last month we had a visit from Professor Monica Grady who is one of our leading current British scientists. She toured the school with Katie (4R), who had completed her scientist project about her. Professor Grady then led an assembly talking about her work with the Rosetta mission and how she is currently working on a  project to squeeze gas out of rocks from Mars! Then all of the children had the chance to see some rock from the moon and mars and touch a piece of meteorite which is as old as the sun! Professor Grady remarked on the high level of scientific knowledge from our pupils and was very impressed with their questions.
