We recently carried out our school Act of Remembrance with the whole school joining together to commemorate the end of the First World War almost 100 years ago. There are some parents who may wonder how much our three and four year olds understand of this act. To this I would answer that I hope that they don’t understand about the theme of the Act but they do understand what it is like to stand together with such a wonderful school, to feel that sense of belonging and the security and self-confidence that comes with that; to be able to see the Year 6 pupils at their best, reading out confidently and helping others. Thank you to all parents who came and to Mr Ortiz, our wonderful brass teacher, for playing so movingly. We were proud to stand together and ‘remember them’.
