Teddy Bears' Picnic

Each year The Firs School participates in a "Bring your Bear" day in aid of Action Medical Research. We have supported this charity for over 15 years and raise approximately £250 - £300 each year by organising a teddy bears' picnic and raffle.

Action Medical Research is a national charity which raises money to help research into many serious diseases and conditions, including Premature Birth, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, Osteoporosis, Sickle Cell Disease, Parkinson's Disease and Stroke.

"Touching Tiny Lives" is their new campaign to give the most vulnerable babies a better start in life. They aim to raise £3 million to help fund a range of vital research.
