Rhoscolyn |
On Tuesday 23rd May, my group went coasteering.
It was great fun because we got to climb on all the rocks and
swim in the water. Our instructor was called Jim and he was really
nice because whenever we came to a big wave, he would let us swim
around in the water for 5 minutes. Jim also told us about all
the different species in the water and what they were called.
At one stage, we came to a huge wave and we all kept getting pulled
the opposite way we wanted to go, even Jim slid down from a slope
into the waves. Coasteering was my favourite activity that I did
at Rhoscolyn and I hope that one day I could do it again.

On Wednesday 24th group 2 went to Rhoscolyn and when we got there
we had our lunch and met up with the other group to see what it
was like. They said it was great. After lunch we had a play then
said goodbye then found out who was in our rooms, in my room were
Tom and Jack. After we found out our rooms we went for a 5mile
walk. We saw lots of sites and heard lots of stories from Mr Sheppard,
which were very interesting. We also saw lots of the coastal feaures
like arches, stacks and blowholes that we had been studying in
geography.

The Tyrollean was fun. It is a bit scary at first but on the second
go it was fun. First you would get hooked on some ropes and you
jump off the cliff and you hang there while the instructor pulls
you across. You just hang there around 60 metres in the air above
roaring waves.
