The Firs Chamber Choir has entered for this years Cheshire schools Christmas Choir competition organised by the NeuroMuscular centre with support from Dawsons music and Dee 106.3. The winners get to sing at the spirit of Christmas event at the Cathedral on the 3rd of December and win music equipment for their school. The finalists will be announced on Dee 106.3 on Monday. Keep your fingers crossed!
Kings Football Tournament 17th Sep 2010
The King's school football tournament was particularly exciting this year as it was partnered by Everton Youth Academy Community Coaching. Winners of this tournament would even go on to play a final tournament at Everton's ground Goodison Park. The Firs School kicked off their first group game against Fairholme Prepatory School, narrowly losing 2-1, though particularly impressive were Charles M's safe hands in goal, and Zain S, who scored a fantastic long-range effort. On the 22nd January we played a netball match
against Ellesmere. In the first half of the under 10s match we scored 3-1, in the second half it was 0-0 so the overall score was 3-1 to us. Well done to Katie who scored all the goals and all the team.

On the 11th March 08, the Firs school played against Alford (Abbey gate) school away, in a competitive match.
We played 2 periods of 15 minutes. In the first period Alford scored a goal, but we did not let that make us feel down we carried till half time.

On the 26th February we played Abbey Gate at Netball. The U11s played two halves, in the first half we lost 4 - 0 then in the second half we lost 4-0 again.
The total altogether was 8-0 to Abbey Gate. Sophia Carson was captain and Divya Avula was 'man of the match.'

On the 28th February the U10s played a match against Ellesmere College. In the first half we won 6-3 then in the second half we drew 4-4. In the first game first half Abbey Gate scored two goals and in the second half Abbey Gate scored two again. On the 8th of November we played a match against Ellesmere. In the fist half, Cameron Faulkner scored two goals and Thomas Platt scored 1.
