We have had great take-up for art club. I have been really pleased by all of the students ranging from Y3-Y6. They are motivated, creative and hard-working. We are producing some lovely coloured paintings inspired by traditional Mexican Art, called ‘Amate’. We are finishing them at the moment, soon to be displayed outside the art room. In year 5 D & T we have all the best challenges: first making and tasting healthy cereal bars and then making our own cereal bars (and tasting lots of commercially produced ones) and now making our own summer sandals. Here are the first completed examples this year: watch this space to see the rest, hot off the press (or, in this case, hot off the glue gun)
Rhoscolyn trip this year has inspired a lot of great art work from the children.
Its been a beautiful Autumn at the Firs with the trees out in blazing colour. This has inspired J2 to make some great artwork in the form of pictures and poems.

The beauty of the scenery around Rhoscolyn has inspired some of the J4 pupils currently on their field trip and we will be posting some of their art here on this page as well as on our new virtual art gallery page, of which their works will be first.
