Aladdin – now with Video!

Aladdin – now with Video!

The curtain rose for the Year 6 performance of Aladdin on Friday night to a full house at St Columba’s Church Hall. The cast were amazing as they acted, danced and sang their way through the story of Aladdin and in true pantomime style the audience, booed, hissed and laughed their way through the production. The children learned many lines, songs and dance routines and provided a hugely entertaining evening. The set was also impressive, with Persian rugs, temples and colourful costumes, the stage looked fantastic. Well done to all the staff and children, a lot of hard work went into the production, the end result was a memorable evening for everyone. The video of the entire performance is now here.

The proceeds from the performance are going to the Make a Wish Foundation www.make-a-wish.org.uk and Dadagaun Orphanage in Nepal www.dadagaun.com. Enjoy the photos below as taken kindly by Rachel Kay www.rachelkayphotography.com

Thank you to all of the school staff who helped with this production, particularly Mrs Burns and Mrs Nightingale, the class teachers, and Mrs Arran for her musical direction. Also deserving of a big thanks are Mrs Davies, Mr Toan, Mr Cartlidge, Mr Howarth, Mrs Rodriguez and Mrs Peel. Also thank you to Mr Wall for his help with the sound and to all of the parents for providing the wonderful costumes.
