Kate Muddiman, our Kindergarten Leader is one of the few people in the Chester area to be awarded the status of Early Years Professional by the University of Lancaster. The Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) is a new role that recognises effective leadership of practice within an Early Years setting.
In order to be accepted onto the course, Kate needed to demonstrate her commitment to improve early years practice, as well as gaining a number of qualifications including an Honours Degree.
This status recognises Kate’s excellence in leadership skills across a range of national graduate-level standards associated with working with children from birth to five years. It aims to raise the quality of Early Years provision and the Government aims to have an Early Years Professional in every Early Years setting by 2010.

Congratulations to Kate on her achievement!
