Our current J4 class proved just what fantastic fund raisers we have here at the Firs School when last week they presented a cheque for £731.25 to the Injury Minimization Programme (IMPS) supported by St Johns Ambulance in Cheshire. IMPS delivers free training in essential first aid and accident prevention to more than 3000 local year six children each year.

In the final half term of our last academic year our then J4 class worked hard to raise the money by holding a weekly tuck shop, running a stall at our Fun Day and putting on a end of term concert. In total all these activities raised £1400 which was split between IMPS and Chester Woman’s Service, a refuge for women in the Chester area.

Helen Lee the Cheshire IMPS Co-ordinator said “I was very pleased with the generous donation from the Firs school, which has been the largest donation received from any school so far”.
